Cobalt Drift Mug

Stoneware clay is a type of clay that, when fired at high temperatures (around 1,100°C to 1,380°C or 2,000°F to 2,500°F), becomes vitrified, resulting in a hard, dense, and non-porous ceramic ware that is resistant to water. These clays are known for their durability and plasticity, making them ideal for functional pottery like dishes, vases, and other tableware that requires strength and longevity.

To create clay products, artists and manufacturers use a variety of techniques that manipulate the clay's plastic state into a desired form. After shaping, the object is dried and fired at high temperatures in a kiln, which hardens the clay and makes it durable.
